Survivor Audition Tape with clips from appearance on Wheel of Fortune. Another Weird Guy Named Raymond: Raymond Taylor on 'Wheel of Fortune', 1994 January 30, 2010 at 9:00 AM Public Perhaps I ought to make this a regular feature: deeply eccentric men named Raymond, victims of labored physical or cognitive mobility (or both) who make their way on to network or public access television.

Playboy cover photo
I put the Playboy cover photo on this page since the article discusses it. I also intend on finding some relevant news articles from the time that the issue came out since I recall some controversy over the photo spread and I think more info would be good for the article. The photo wouldn't even be considered pornography in V.W.'s home country so I don't see what's 'disgusting' about it that would make User:Shultz remove it. There was no previous discussion on this page saying that it shouldn't be used so if anyone has an issue with it, please respond here with your reasons. Dismas (talk) 23:30, 30 September 2005 (UTC)
This seems like stretching a fair use case, since it does not identify the subject of the article (a non-Playboy image does that) or add any information, really. A fair use image should (according to policy) 'specifically illustrate relevant points' and I'm not sure the mere fact that White's images appeared in Playboy is 'illustrated' by a cover scan. Nearly every sentence of the article contains something which could be pictured the same way; but that wouldn't make sense and I'm not sure this does either. DemiT/C 08:58, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
- Since no rationale is forthcoming, I have removed the image. DemiT/C 15:09, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
- Thank you, Demi. Even though WP says it's not censored for the protection of minors, where does it say it's not censored for the protection of Employees? When some images aren't 'work-safe', and someone points that out when removing a smutty image, they'd have an argument (AFAIK). --Shultz 16:44, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
- I don't think WP is supposed to be censored for the benefit of anybody. Nevertheless, one can certainly make arguments about whether or not a particular image is sufficiently relevant to be useful to have here. *Dan T.* 21:08, 1 January 2006 (UTC)she is deaf
- Okay, now there is no image of her on this page. Since she is a celebrity, there really should be a picture. No matter what you think of her, with her long run on such a popular, long running TV show, shouldn't there be a picture? Midtempo-abg 19:08, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

Vanna's stalkers
Visit the list of stalked celebrities for the links for the multiple stalkers who have plagued Vanna, as well as hundreds of other entries. When she was conducting a pre-show warm-up for the Wheel of Fortune, one of her stalkers, who believed he was going to marry her, jumped up and shouted that Pietro was a dangerous mobster and that he'd 'protect' her. Rescue fantasies like these are common among delusional stalkers. There was also a former Wheel contestant named Raymond Taylor who tresspassed repeatedly on the set and harassed multiple employees, as well as serial stalker Ralph Nau.
Maybe the fact that Pietro took no further action after the restraining order protecting him and Vanna was issued verifies that he isn't a dangerous mobster. If he were, wouldn't he teach the stalker firsthand what it's like to be stalked, or maybe have both of his legs broken, or give him concrete shoes or a slow, painful death by torture? :)--Heff01 01:05, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
Relationship between miscarriage and change in job
I distinctly remember reading years ago that the much-ridiculed change from turning the letters to simply touching them was made because Vanna was pregnant at the time and feared another miscarriage. A quick Google search didn't pull up those facts, but did confirm that her first child was born later in the same year the change was made. So for now, I've settled for adding what I can prove (i.e., she was pregnant + she had had a miscarriage) and will have to let readers infer the connection until I can provide a source. We know she's old ...
- Born February 18, 1957 (age 49)
- in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, USA
- Age 49
But do we really need to say 49 two times?
- Vanna White is a one-role celebrity. She is famous solely for appearing as the hostess on the 'Wheel of Fortune' television show. There is nothing unique about Vanna White or the attributes which she claims identify her. Although she appears to be an attractive woman, her face and figure are no more distinctive than that of other equally comely women. She performs her role as hostess on 'Wheel of Fortune' in a simple and straight-forward manner. Her work does not require her to display whatever artistic talent she may possess. White v. I think Judge Alarcon must have been fed up with this woman. If she dies, this dissenting opinion must be engraved on her gravestone. -- Toytoy 01:08, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Playboy Playmate
Do you think Vanna could be placed under the category of playboy playmates or some category saying she was featured in Playboy magazine? MP123 02:15, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
Should this picture be on there?

- I guess, but first, crop it and so it only shows Vanna, and upload the cropped version. --98E 00:50, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
- Update: I cropped the image. It's in the article now. --98E 16:49, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
Trivia Section/Picture
I deleted it. I eliminated a few items, i think something some comedian said, and also that she owns a jet company. if she does, that should be sourced.i don't get why there's a south park cartoon picture of her but not a real one.--Nick 23:51, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
Ethnicity: >everything<
hmmm it's enouht to say that she is croatian descent... right?every single person in usa is mix of 10 countries!
- That's not true. Children of immigrants might have only one ethnic heritage. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.147.160.34 (talk) 15:51, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
bloopers and practical jokes
In a late 1980s' episode of TV's Bloopers and Practical Jokes, White was part of a practical joke played on Pat Sajak during a taping of Wheel of Fortune. White's gown was setup so it would snag on the gameboard and rip off, leaving her in a slip in front of a surprised Sajak. Promos for the episode ran with the tagline 'What happens when Vanna White loses her dress?', with their trademark 'censored' stamp hiding a clip of White losing her clothes. NBC executives were concerned that airing the risqué practical joke, as well as White's appearance in Playboy magazine, would do damage to the show's family image. The episode was replaced with a rerun and was never aired. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.184.170.29 (talk) 00:03, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Cement photograph not useful for indentification purposes
